Former minister P Shankar Rao on Wednesday claimed that Kiran became Chief Minister out of luck, though he did not do any service to the party. Breathing fire on CM Kiran Kumar Reddy, Shankar Rao termed the Chief Minister as a betrayer of Dalits and called him a Dalit Rabandhu. Shankar Rao said the state of Andhra Pradesh is virtually under ‘police rajyam’.
Shankar Rao said the entire Dalit community in the state dumped the Congress party because the Congress had been humiliating the Dalit leaders in the community. “I was expelled from the cabinet, and the deputy Chief Ministers Damodara Raja Narasimha is being humiliated. This is why all the Dalits are going away from the party” he said.
The former ministers also observed that minorities, Dalitis and women are dumping the Congress party purely because of CM Kiran’s attitude. “The Congress party lost the support of minority community due to police harassment on Owaisi brothers” Shankar Rao said.
